Artist are humans just like me and you. But we always want to judge them and some how expect them not to do mistakes. However, we are at times cornered to do so. We recently read about Jub Jub's recent accident where school children died. This was an unfortunate event for most fans, friends and families of the children that died. We are still shocked and forced to have a voice around this situation.

There is no better excuse to the pain he cause to the families of the children. However, I believe that it is a curve of his life. It meant to happen and for him to learn and change for good though it is up to him.
The misuse of social media
No one deserves cyber bullying. On 16 Sep 2011 Zenoyise Madikwa reported that there are three people who opened a Facebook account using Sonia Sedibe's name. Sonia Sedibe the former actor in generations known as Ntombi Khumalo Dlomo says that she has never opened a Facebook account in her life read more.
The article reads that those people are swearing at their friends on Facebook. She said that she has hired a private investagator to get to the bottom of this. I think Sonia value her image and the relationship that she has built with the public as she took an action to save her reputation as she said that this people just have a goal to damage her reputation.
She is not the only one who is experiencing this. Some celebritues include stars like Wright Ngubeni, Minnie Dlamini and Thabiso Mokhethi.
Do we really want to see them being bad to us or what do we really want from them? Earn your view to be heard.
Our problem as people is jealousy, we do not want to see others on a positive, good side we become happy once they fall under bad publicity.

ReplyDeleteAs a celebrity it is important that you valuse your image so that the public does not loose its interest on you. Clearly people who open accounts on the name of others or hack other people's facebook accounts or attack others, they don't know the value of what social media stands for. Who knows, some celebrities do silly thing on social media for publicity stunts, a living example Khany "QUEEN OF BLING" who posted nude pics on social networks, where is the moral self or ethical practices of the social media by people, so sick of this

DeleteSince i have sent friend request to this facebook account thought maybe is Sonia's account, i was angry because she did not accept my request,fortunately now am concious because i have found out that Sonia she had never open facebook acount.Please people lets not misuse our artists' name on social media.

DeleteThe thing is some celebrities are soo rude it hurts,maybe he/she tryd talking to her then Sonia acted somehow,so all and all this was revenge,because it really is a payable amount at the end of the day.

And then after that you swear at people wih your fake identity leaving people to think horribly about the celeb while you know very well that its not true? Some people are just sick and don't know what to do with their time.

The munite you start doing something it is going be firsty be framed by the media then the public. I think the public is saying , if you do good you remain on our good books, if you do bad you are out.

ReplyDeleteThe problem with us (the public ) is, we are superfast and very quick judge /spot a mistake in a celebrity's life style... but it is da opposite of that when they did good things... we do not even go and say thank you under their tweeter or facebook pages ... but we go and comment on online newspapers if they did any kind of mistake.

DeleteI think most people who do so, are those who are jealousy to that person and they think it will be best to use their accounts to ruin their lives. We (public) dont appreciate the good deeds that we see from our celebrities. This thing must come to an end and lets support them at all times.

ReplyDeleteIts really sad how we treat our role models, we forget that they are humans, with feelings too. I believe that people are only testing how they can handle situations, its part of life to be treated badly, so what celebs need to do is move on and continue to do good, even if people dont notice, they will reap the rewards at the end of the day.
