EDUCATION IS FOR US ALL BUT THE CHOICE TO STUDY LIES WITHIN A SINGLE HEART

Education is the key

Education is the key to success and everyone needs it. We need education to survive the various fields . Most celebrities in South Africa are educated and still furthering their studies.

While reading the news, I came across an article published by The Sowetan Live on 05 September 2012. The article informed me about Thulisile Madihlaba's graduations at the University of Johannesburg read more. Thulisile is well-known as Chomee, a young and talented dancer and musician in South Africa. watch video

When reading the article, I got encouraged. I realised that celebrities are not just school uniform donors but they also have a desire to have their own qualifications. In most cases the media frame celebrities as people who only donate uniforms to schools.

I always thought about getting involved in other activities while studying. Well it is possible as chomee achieved her diploma after a long four years of her part-time studies.

The media present Chomee as a celebrity that understand building relationships with her fans because The Sowetan Live on  the 07 October 2010 reported that Chomee offered ten bursaries to tertiary students that were selected from a deluge of letters that followed as a result of their invitations during her birthday party.
She demand what she deserve
Educated people have their own ways of doing things. Another article published by The SundayWorld on the 24 September 2012 states that chomee quits over miniscule pay. The content of the article made me realise that educated people provide service on an understandable and fair payment read more

  2. Young people who want to be in the Entertainment field mmust uderstand that this field is full of lot of challenges and sometimes things may not work out for you, so it's better for them to study and arm themselves with tertiary qualificatiin in case things do no work out for them within the entertaiment.

    1. You have a point right there Lucky but because of excitement and fame young stars turn to forget about education.

  3. Its amazing to see how the number of celebrities who obtain tertiary qualifications keep on increasing year by year, for example the likes of Bonang Matheba, Katlego Dankie, Jimmy Tau and more. This sets a good example to those who view them as their role models. It further show the young celebrities in the making out there, that since talent dissipates with age one needs the skills and knowledge acquired from education to manage whatever fortune he/she may have made while active. In that regard I therefore say thumbs up to thulisile!!..

    1. Natural talent is one thing needed but this days is difficult to work with talents only because companies need something in black and white.

  15. I think a lot of celebraties are educated, most of them just do not have formal education because they go to acting and musical institutions. why do people diregard that as education?

    1. I think education is everything that one gets knowledge or skills so acting and Music is good but you know entertainment industry is difficult so they have to try other things.

  16. Fame must be accompanied by education in order to have something to fall back on. A success is not determined by the qualiy of education you have but the attitude, Chomee has a positive attitude towards her career.
